Take the proven FAST FALL approach and apply it to longer distances- long and short intervals at faster than race pace- this is how to make your goal half marathon pace feel easy!
A FASTER half marathon is possible without overloading yourself & with putting recovery as a priority. FAST HALF has a focus on HIGH quality speed workouts plus all the necessary strength and endurance components, all while prioritizing recovery, to run your strongest and fastest half.
Level 1 is for you, if:
- you are running your first half marathon, OR you have run 1-2 half marathons & want to train more consistently to improve your time.
- you may not have significant experience with interval or tempo workouts.
- your half marathon pace is close to your everyday easy run pace — maybe slightly faster or slightly slower.
- you are wanting to run sub 2:00.
FAST HALF Level 1 includes:
- 18 week plan to prepare & taper for a half marathon
- 2 weekly workouts + long run OR 1 mid-week workout + long run workout
- 4-5 days of running per week or 4 days + cross-train one day
- About 20-30 miles per week- estimate based on the amount of time run during the week. Volume can vary significantly depending on if you run the minimum or maximum volume and easy run pace.
- 1 Form Focus every week to help you improve your form & run more efficiently
- 1 Training Concept each week
- Detailed notes explaining workouts & how to execute properly
- 120+ page guide with notes on everything that will help to make your training a success, including: form, effort, race strategy and mentality, logistics, etc
